It’s time to bring you a heavyweight contest as two brilliant models of golf ball duke it out for your attention in a bid to convince you they should be making their way into your bag. Let the battle commence...
Which ball will come out on top?
TaylorMade Project (s)
TaylorMade’s focus on lower driver spin and impressive distance is clear to see when you tee off with the Project (s) golf ball.
Even on slower swing speeds this ball offers blistering pace, making it great for those of you seeking distance over anything else.
Compared to its challenger, the Project (s) comes in at a cheaper price point but is also available in matt orange and matt yellow if you're after something a little more snazzy.
TaylorMade TP5 and TP5x
New and improved for 2019, TaylorMade's flagship balls have been hugely successful on Tour thanks to the likes of Rickie Fowler, Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson putting them into play.
Both are constructed from five layers, with the TP5x performing slightly better in the wind whilst the TP5 offers a lower launch.
It's easy to see why these balls come in at a premium price point when you put them into play. If you haven't tried them yet it's about time you do.
