It's good to have options, right?

Struggling with your long irons?

It can be perfectly understandable to find yourself struggling with a specific area of your golf game. Perhaps you find it hard to land a fairway off the tee, or you feel like you walk off every green having made a 3-putt, but how do you feel about your approach shots, and in particular playing with your long irons?
Long irons can be notoriously difficult to strike. With a lower loft and longer shaft when compared to your scoring irons, long irons require a more precise swing in order for you to make good contact with the ball.
Have you tried a golf hybrid?

An excellent alternative to longer irons is hybrids. These clubs pack all the best of both worlds into one handy package. They give you some good solid distance while being shorter and nimbler than fairway woods, resulting in a club that feels very easy and natural to swing through the ball with.
Hybrids also have larger clubheads than long irons that not only pack more punch when you strike the ball, but give you a greater sense of confidence when you’re standing over the ball.
Another reason that makes a golf hybrid such a strong club to add to the bag is the sheer degree of versatility it brings you. You can take it off the tee if your big focus is to land on the fairway on a tricky tee shot, you can use it to approach the green, and you can bump your ball onto the green if you’ve been caught in a thick patch of greenside rough.
If you’ve never played with a golf hybrid club and you’re considering having a go with one, we have the very best hybrids from TaylorMade waiting for you in the pro shop…
TaylorMade Qi35 hybrids
TaylorMade makes phenomenal hybrids, and the clubs in their Qi35 range look fantastic and feel incredibly easy to strike the ball with. Each model in the range has a sleek black aesthetic, and when you turn the clubhead over, you’ll make out the green accents detailing the sole of the club.

The standard Qi35 features a blend of carbon, steel, tungsten, and titanium fused together to create a perfect multi-material construction that provides an endearing feel each time you strike the ball. The interior TSS weighting system ensures the club is light and wieldy throughout your swing, and there’s also a loft sleeve that allows you to adjust the core lofts, helping you find your ideal ball flight on any given shot.
If you’re looking to build a better connection with the ball, you’d be better off playing with a club focused on offering you excellent forgiveness. The Qi35 Max model is one such hybrid. This club features a lot of the same great tech as is present in the standard model but with modified CG locations within the clubhead. The result is a club that emphasizes launch on your strikes, helping you pop the ball up in the air with ease whether you’re playing from the fairway or the rough.
