Rain, rain, go away... Heavy rain abandoned play this Saturday. At 11.30am, the course could take no more rainfall and over 40 golfers had to comeback to the warmth of the clubhouse to dry off. I do feel very sorry for those who had completed, especially Peter Birch who made two two's on the par 3's - much to the disappointment of his playing partners who were looking forward to finally receiving a share of Peters two's! Credit must go to Carl and the greenstaff as all the drainage work last winter and before is really paying off. To have the course fully open on Sunday morning shows how valuable the continued investment in the drainage system is. This Saturday is the final qualifier of the season, a White and Yellow Stableford played with Winter rules.
