Competition news

Jubilee Cup results

Last Saturday was the Jubilee Cup, on a beautiful day for golf the winner of the competition was Sam Crutchley, with a nett score of 70. Being a Country member Sam was unable to win the trophy, which was awarded to Bill May who also had a nett 70 losing to Sam on countback. Jason Cooper won the yellow stableford with a score of 36 points, maybe its time for Jason to return to the white tees?

Captain's Finals Day

This Saturday is the Captains Finals Day, we have two finals starting early morning before the Saturday competition and the afternoon finals, underway from 1pm. Headlining the finals day is the Captain's final trophy, this year competed for between Clive Caddick and Paul Hirst. All members are welcome to come and watch the many finals taking place on Saturday.

Lady Captain's Finals Day

This Tuesday just gone was the day of the Lady Captain's final and the foursomes final. On what was a great day for golf, both were well contested with Mel Mardon narrowly beating Sue Graves to win the Lady Captain's prize and Barbra Kozer and Lesley Webster beating Libby Lanceley and Jenny Hurst to win the foursomes final.

Range news

Important notice

We recently bought new balls and baskets for the driving range, of the twenty-four baskets we purchased two months ago, we currently have only six here at the club. Could members please return any baskets from their cars/lockers as this is making it very difficult to run this service and disrupting the practice of other members. Many thanks.

Battle of the irons
