Weekly Round Up With Qualifying under way now this Saturday we saw a number of handicap reductions on a very tough, cold and breezy day. Congratulations to Ian Brew who scored 37 points in the white Stableford to beat John Brimelow by one point. Also congratulations to John Jefferies who has worked extremely hard this winter with a series of lessons and time in our indoor studio, John won the yellow Stableford with 38 points and reduced his handicap again. This Saturday is a Club Medal played from both white and yellow tees, the weather for the Easter weekend looks great, so don’t miss out on playing this weekend, there are still places available on the time sheet. The bank holiday competition on Monday is a 12 o'clock start, as it stands the last tee time is 3pm, we will open up tee times on Sunday between 3.30pm and 4pm to allow members to play casual golf should these times not be needed for the competition. The ladies played their second Medal of the season this Tuesday, congratulations to Jenny Hurst who won the competition with a nett 73, piping Liz almond by one shot who had a nett 74. The nine hole stableford was won by Sandra Archer with 16 points. Next Tuesday is the St Georges day stableford, please check BRS if you would like to play. |
